Last month, I had the joy of being a part of the PC3 Parenting Summit, beautifully hosted by Vidya and Roshni. It was an enriching space filled with warmth, reflection, and lots of meaningful parenting conversations.

As one of the speakers, I spoke about emotional resilience in children, a quality that helps them bounce back from challenges and grow stronger through life’s ups and downs.

Since I’ve always been a lover of metaphors and truly believe that a simple image can hold a message that stays in our hearts long after words fade, I used the metaphor of a tree to bring this concept to life.
I created a Resilience Tree with its different parts: roots, trunk, branches, leaves, and fruits, and even the sunlight, each representing an essential aspect of parenting and a child’s emotional growth.
Watching parents reflect, share, and connect with the idea was truly heartwarming. Many walked away realizing that resilience isn’t something we teach our children; it’s something we model and grow within ourselves.

The journey was made even more special thanks to my fellow coaches, the wonderful organizers, and all the parents who participated with such openness. Parenting isn’t about perfection; it’s about small, consistent steps of nurturing, reflection, and growth.
I’d love to know, what helps you stay resilient as a parent?
More enriching parenting conversations are on the way… stay tuned!
